SUPARTZ is indicated for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis and periarthritis of the shoulder. It is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of highly purified, non-inflammatory, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate, derived from chicken combs. This polysaccharide consists of repeating disaccharide units of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine.
SUPARTZ is provided sterile in a single-use, pre-filled disposable syringe to minimize the risk of contamination during the aspiration of the solution.
